Aggelos Tsakanikas is an Assistant Professor in the field of economic evaluation of technological systems, at NTUA, Head of the Entrepreneurship Observatory at the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research (IOBE). He has participated in various European projects in the area of innovation studies, socioeconomics research, entrepreneurship, and information society. From May 2004 he has been working in IOBE in various positions, being the Research Director up to January 2014. His main research interests lie in the area of technology and business strategy, economics of innovation, entrepreneurship and relevant public policies. He has been involved with numerous studies on the Greek Economy, on entrepreneurship and competitiveness, human capital and related policies. He is heading the Greek research team that participates in the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) and a member of the team that participates in the World Competitiveness Yearbook published by IMD.
