Marie is an Economist graduated from Athens University of Economics and Business. She is an experienced Auditor with a total experience of 25 years, 18 of which with the Hellenic Capital Market Commission. Skilled in Capital Markets legal framework, FinTech, and Digital Economy. Currently she is Policy Advisor working for MEP Eva Kaili, Chair of the Future of Science and Technology Panel in the European Parliament (STOA), Member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy Committee (ITRE), Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) and Budgets (BUDG). As such, she is connected to the ongoing process of multiple pieces of legislation in the fields of Fintech/Digital Finance, Platform economy, Big Data, AI and Cybersecurity. She has been working on FinTech with the Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC) and as a HCMC policy/technical expert, participated to FinTech related Standing Committees, Task Forces and Working Groups at ESMA, Joint Committee of European Supervisory Authorities, Council of the European Union and European Commission. Marie was the coordinator of the HCMC Innovation Hub and appointed representative at the European Forum for Innovation Facilitators (EFIF). She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Hellenic Blockchain Hub, and volunteer mentor at Job-Pairs.
